Dade's Birthday!

How do I have a 14 year old?

When did this happen?
He can now go to church dances, and he loves science.  I still see glimpses of my sweet little boy who referred to his friends as "my guys", and would tell his Pre K teachers that mom was just having 1 baby this time, in there.  But on the other side of things, I see so much more.  I see a whole new world opening up for him, as he starts new adventures.  This fall he will enter into high-school, go to Seminary, and I am sure there will be more church dances, as he has learned they normally serve junk food (something he isn't allowed much at home).

14...  14 years that I have loved this kiddo.
14 birthdays we have celebrated.
14 cakes I have made just for him.
14 years of teaching (both him and I).
only 4 more years for him to be mine, and I will have to send him off to be in the world.

He made me a momma, he has taught me how to be good at it too.  There are so many things I could say to him, but words don't do my love for him any justice.  I hope he always knows how much I love him, and he carries that with him, through all his trials!  Happy 14th Birthday Dader's! <3 p="">

The Birthday Party!

I came to the realization today that it is about time to have that talk with my daughter about being thankful for what people do for you, and give you.  Although today was a very happy day for all of us, she had an issue with a lot of what I was doing.  It started with the fact that she wasn't getting a birthday party this year.  Then went to the fact that I made cupcakes instead of a cake.  After that it was the decorations.  Oh man!!!  I finally sat her down and told her mommy was working very hard to make her day speacial, and that it hurt my feelings that nothing seemed good enough to her.  She apologized, and agreed that everything was nice, and that she was indeed grateful.  WHEEW!

So,her day went like this, mommy woke her up with a birthday princess song.

She proceeded to the dinning room where she was greeted by the breakfast of her choice:
Mixed berry muffins
 mixed berry smoothie
and strawberries
Then lunch proceed her opening her presents from mommy and daddy, which was :
Spinach, and strawberry salads with grilled chicken on top.

Then Aunt Amanda and Uncle Joe {one of the kids favorite couples}came over with MORE presents.
Then, we have this tradition that the birthday guy or girl gets to pick the meals for the day {With-in reason}.
So for dinner we had:
Grilled chicken
fresh fruit salad {With strawberries, apples, bananas and grapes}
salt and vinegar potatoes
romaine salad

Do you see the pattern here?  She is by far my healthiest eater!
Isn't she lovely when she wakes up?  LOL!
Daddy reading her birthday card from Mommy and daddy!
"Piggy slippers...  WHAT?  These are my favorite!"  That's what she was saying when she saw them!
Her loot from mommy, plus her Barbie backpack that she just couldn't wait to use to start school, so she got that almost a month early.  LOL!
 PIGGY SLIPPERS!!!
Uncle joe and Aunt Amanda's gift time!
These are some of our favorite peoples!
The kids LOVE them!  Aunt Amanda reading the card they gave her.
Time to see what's in this box.
YAY!!! Tangled and it's a nightgown!  Her favorite!
Sunglasses, have I mentioned she LOVES accessories!

Starwberry cupcakes, with mixed berry cream cheese frosting
 Blow 'em out!!!
LOL, I love this girl, and can't believe she is already 6.  Where has the time gone?

Mommy's facebook message to my princess:
6 years ago today I held my babygirl for the first time. She was everything I expected she would be, and as the emotions flooded in that day, I realized she was everything I hoped she would be and more. I was and am, so in love with this little girl that it isn't funny. She is the funniest, prettiest, little diva there is. :) happy 6th birthday princess Nevaeh. :) — with William Parker

My beautiful Children!!!

I got a good one of all of them together!  :)  They are the greatest group of kiddos I have ever seen, and Will and I have truly been blessed with a gift from God!  I can not believe how lucky we are.  We have learned so much from being parents, the most important lesson of all is unconditional love!  :)

I love every single one of these kids!  They are my whole world, and I would go to the end of this world for each and every one of them!  :)

Aiden's Fall Pictures

This is momma's baby boy.  My heart and soul!  This baby stole my heart when he came into this world, and has held it since!  He always knows when mommy doesn't feel good, and is quick to come cuddle.  He makes me smile, and loves giving mommy kisses!  I couldn't ask for anything more than that!!!  He is perfect!

He is so hard to get a good picture of... little turd!  LOL!  But I love him!

Another Parker-ism

Today while getting my daughter ready for school,
she turns to me and says "mom, you are so pretty".
Usually I worry when this comes out of this child's mouth, because she usually has something up her sleeve in this case.
Mom: "Thank you, honey!  I love you".
N: "I love you too, Mom!"...
N: "but you know you would be prettier if you actually brushed your hair when you put it in your bun, and kept your make-up on" (HA, I KNEW THERE HAD TO BE A BUT!!!)

Then a little later, I went to move out of the way of A while he was throwing his usual morning temper tantrum (Gotta love those terrible threes), and I bumped the table with my hips, and joking I said "ha, mommy doesn't realize how big her butt is sometimes".  N out of no where says, "I don't know how you don't realize how big it is, we can all see how big it is"

I think this may mean I need to start running again!  This girl could seriously make some one with high self esteem really doubt herself!  LOL!  YIKES!

She is such a turd sometimes, but I love her anyways!!!

Parker-isms

Parker-isms: (n); the funny and not so funny things that come out of my kids mouth, and the most funny of times.

It is funny being a parent, but even more fun when you have such independent, opinionated children, that are far too old and WISE for their age!  These are a few things my kids have shared with me lately...

D: mom, my Spanish teacher said that if Mexicans ran our country, it would be Hell.
Mom: Well honey, there are bad presidents, and good presidents, your race doesn't have anything to do with how you run our country.  Comments like those are racist honey.  Plus, isn't your teacher Spanish?
D: yes mom, that's just what she said, NOT ME!

I have a very small mole on my chin, to the left of my mouth, like a beauty mark, sort of.  My daughter has made it a habit to call this "my witches mole".  So one morning, I woke up with a small pimple just under the mole, but it looked like it was growing.  So this is the conversation that followed.
N: Mom, your witches mole is growing.
mom: N, 2 things, #1- it's not a witches mole, and #2- it's not growing. .
N: You could have fooled me,  I thought it was growing because your so mean.
mom: WHAT?  I am not mean...  it is a small pimple under it, so it just looks like it is bigger.
N: your too old to get pimples!
mom: Just go to school!  (As I am laughing my butt off)

I can't make these things up, I swear!
